The volume was created with the aim of providing a series of theoretical and empirical elements that show the characteristics of the evolution of subcontracting in the last decades in the different productive sectors and in the various areas of Italy.
For this reason, next to the works coming from researches carried out in Italian Universities, a series of testimonies of operators and managers of small and big companies are included.
