Created on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the University of Udine, this volume does not have a celebratory intent but rather aims to show what the University will be in the near future, 'designed' by the choices made and the paths taken. The themes covered are the transformation of urban spaces that become spaces of knowledge, in a dynamic and constructive relationship with the city and the territory; the commitment to sharing, which wants to give back to the civil community the results of research; the project of a 'University for all', able to educate with cutting-edge methods and to disseminate knowledge: a vision of what will be the univercity in the coming years.
