From the streets of Vienna, to the Rom villages of Transylvania, passing through the Gara de Nord in Bucharest, Father Georg Sporschill carried out concrete actions of great social value, but he also practiced a pedagogy of human dignity that deserves to be known, studied and valued. In September 2019, the University of Udine awarded him an honorary doctoral degree in Science of Primary Education for his original educational methodologies in socially difficult contexts. This volume, in addition to presenting the reflections that emerged during the ceremony at the 'Ernesto Balducci' Reception Center in Zugliano (Udine), proposes some of the stories about friendship and being together written by Georg Sporschill and Ruth Zenkert, for the first time translated into Italian: an extraordinary collection of inestimable pedagogical, spiritual and philosophical value.
