What is entrepreneurship? To what extent and in what ways is entrepreneurial activity related to a country's economic development? How much and how important is it for the generation and diffusion of innovation and change? How can it be favored by the external context? These are some of the questions that this book aims to address. Entrepreneurial action appears to be a rich and heterogeneous phenomenon, and therefore complex, requiring a broad and multidisciplinary vision. Therefore, the book includes different contributions and points of view, from strategic management to industrial economics, from innovation economics to finance, from organization to social sciences. The intent is to provide a review of the state of knowledge on the entrepreneurial phenomenon and related factors, trying to enhance the "cultural diversity" that often characterizes the becoming of entrepreneurial action and success. The aggregation of contributions in the various sections of the book, if on the one hand allows to highlight the aspects of convergence between the various works, on the other hand wants to testify how many different ways you can discuss the topic of entrepreneurship and how much remains to be discovered. The book is intended for those who intend to approach research on entrepreneurship and for those who wish to understand the complexity and heterogeneity of entrepreneurial activity.
